Still lighting bug?

Featured Replies

I still cannot see fire engine or apu handles in the first degree of lighting! Also gear lever and throttle quad are not illuminated in the first degree! I reinstalled the Queen from my file that I got from you, and after that I applied the 1.10 patch and after that I installed some liveries. Why can't I see this repaired? Or wasn't it repaired yet?

Word Not Allowed,I don't think anything was done regarding the lighting schemes. To my knowledge there is not backlighting of the fire handles. You might want to adjust your monitor settings, that's what I have done with good results.Hope it helps,

Yeah, no backlighting on the fire handles. The other things are illuminated in the first lighting stage, it is just not very bright.

Word Not Allowed-Cockpits are dark places at night, especially when you dim the lights down really low. (My personal favorite setting... I get annoyed with FO's who like to illuminate the universe by manner of the cockpit internal lighting...LOL)The fire handles are located in a recess above your head, and you will never use/need them until and unless there is a fire.Should there be a fire- the handle will light up rather brightly- making it quite easy to find in the dark. :-)

I respect your opinions PMDG, and I understand fully that cockpit is supposed to be dark. No question to that.Although, now except fire handles, the throttle quad texture partially seems to be missing. I just can't get me away of thinking that the way it looks is the right way! Cuz somewhere there is dark texture which you describe and at some parts, there is none, only one color...Might some of your developers post a picture of the throttle quad in the first degree of lighting please?

Yah, sorry, didn't mean that. I just ment if it's like it's supposed to be, alright.Oh well... I give up. It must be my magical SyncMaster 959NF showing me some special things which you guys don't see! :-lol

Dear PMDG, now I checked this lighting again, here are some screenshots (I posted them a while ago on the old forum, but I never got the reply). I merely want you to look close at those screenshots, and tell me that picture 2 and 4 are all right, if that is the case of course! They are compared to VC shots, and they show how both gear handle area and throttle quad have something wrong on the textures. Throttle quad especially. Could it be my installation? The "wrong" screenshots (missing textures?) are of course only in 2D view. VC is all OK!Here are the shots:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/134533.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/134534.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/134535.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/134536.jpg

Word Not Allowed,They look OK to me. And remember that pictures will always be presented with the monitor settings of the beholder i.e. if I have my settings differently than you, I will see your pictures differently.Hope it helps,
