December 9, 200520 yr Note: I am hijacking Alain's post to highlight a couple KEY issues fixed in this version:--6. A long-standing bug is fixed in the wind smoothing algorithm which could occasionally make the actual wind effect at the aircraft 180 degrees opposite to that shown as the ambient wind (e.g. by Shift+Z). Additionally this fix makes the wind direction written to offset 2DE0 have the correct effect at the aircraft.--10. Wind gusts set through the New Weather Interface (NWI) are now limited to prevent outrageous variations. Any gust value specified above 30 knots is limited to 8 times the layer
December 9, 200520 yr Did you used to have problems with the older FSUIPC, or does it simply work ok for you as it did before?
December 9, 200520 yr Does the PMDG team recommend to download the newest FSUIPC Version 3.51 for the 747-400?Thanks and best regardsMarcel
December 9, 200520 yr I don't think they would know any more than us since they aren't the designers of FSUIPC :)
December 9, 200520 yr I've just completed a full flight with the 747-400 (a circuit around my preferred airport, from cold & dark cockpit to autoland) with the new FSUIPC 3.51 version without any problem (didn't test TCAS).Andrea
December 9, 200520 yr The preceding beta 3.507 fixed some below sea level altitude TCAS problems. I'll get this release today. Please note that those using advdisp.dll such as for displaying menus in Radar Contact must also download version 2.14 for this 3.51 release.
