C-17 right? Still amazes me how they put the joystick in ala fighter style between your legs.Whats she like to fly? Handsome litle beast.Sorry can't help with the tutorial, thought I had it but seems to be deleted sometime.

Correct Tom, it is indeed the C17 Globemaster. It is very interesting when you execute a rapid descent into Kandahar airfield, Afghanistan, in order to avoid any incoming.I was told that it is the only aircraft that can operate the reverse thrust in the air in order to descend rapidly. The HUD is very useful for the pilots, not sure why all aircraft dont have them.

reverse thrust in midair?! wow. catastrophique otherwise, no? for other a/c. i read somewhere on a site that has crash stories, that once in the 1980s, that a korean air 747 was at cruising alt, when the pilot noticed an indication in one of the engines that the REV thrust was activated. of course, he didnt think it was possible, but for some reason, the redundancy of the effect of the electrionics failed to prevent the no 3 engine from deploying REV trust in midair. of course, it was totally catastrophic and according to the report, the plane disintegrated.i think i read this from a book named, "Black Box" or something like that.
