March 18, 200620 yr Oh why not break up the tension and excitment with some practical conversation. At this point, I intend taking delivery of the F at KBFI (I would take it at Everret but the taxi way is just inadequet in default FS9). Then, under Cargolux colors, flying to KLAX to pick up a bunch of freight and then on to ELLX (Luxembourg) for full delivery. Plan B would be just to go to KBFI and take delevery and then go direct to ELLX. We shall see how the time goes.I am not a Cargolux Virtual member, but it sure does look attractive with the F :)Wilson HinesMy Blog: http://www.wilsonhines.com --------------------------------------http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/837438/3074.png
March 18, 200620 yr I will be rolling out from Everett (Flight already prepared) Then running some engine tests. Followed by a test flight. Then I will deliver to KSEA where I will test the loaders and load freight for a flight over to Frankfurt to test out my new UT Europe. Oh man this is an expensive weekend, but worth it. Mike Keigley
March 18, 200620 yr Here are a couple of shorter real routes that I have been flying a lot:Atlas Air:MIA - ATLATL - ORDChina Airlines (Operated by Atlas Air):MIA - ATL - ANCPolar Air:ORD - JFKJFK - MIAMIA - JFKCargolux:LAX - SEAQantas (Operated by Atlas Air):JFK - LAX There's also LAX - SFO operated by an Asian carrier, I can't remember which one right now. Could be NCA or China Airlines. And of course a lot of LAX - ANC operated by most of the big cargo airlines.Enjoy!
March 18, 200620 yr Yea, that is one thing I love about the F is that are real world routes that are shorter. I love it. Mike Keigley
March 18, 200620 yr If there was a decent Anchorage scenery, I'd probably spend the next few weeks in and out of it. But alas I don't know of one so probably SeaTac to San Fran on my favourite route to get to know the girl. Most likely; KSEA CVO J589 RBG GOLDEN4 KSFO
March 18, 200620 yr I will be taking delivery at KBFI with a load of Boeing replacement parts to be flown home. BEI-STN route to be determined upon delivery.Cheers
March 18, 200620 yr Marc, I dont think Atlas operates at all for China Airlines anymore. I could be wrong though.Anyway, both Asiana and NCA operate flights to and from LAX-SFO on their way to PANC then Asia
March 18, 200620 yr I went to Flight1's site and I don't see UT Europe? You know something I don't?>I will be rolling out from Everett (Flight already prepared)>Then running some engine tests. March 18, 200620 yr Ah ok... well the route is still right, you just have to pretend you're a CI pilot and not 5Y. ;)Cheers!
March 18, 200620 yr They "stealth" released it yesterday, to avoid a big crunch on the servers. It weighs in at a healthy ~1.4GBhttp://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=uteurope Regards,Brian Doney
March 18, 200620 yr Hi Mike,I agree 100%!KPAE -> EDDF was my first flight with the QOS (using a beautiful Lufthansa livery) and I think it will be the first one with the "Queen of the Freighters".>(Flight already prepared) What is your exact route?Kind regards,
March 18, 200620 yr Thanks for the link. I use a satellite ISP service that will limit me to 250 MB per day, so I will wait for the Queen F before I download this as to not interfere with the Queen's download.I looked at the coverage PDF, it looks like it isn't Ultimate Europe, but Ultimate HALF Europe.Wilson HinesMy Blog: http://www.wilsonhines.com --------------------------------------http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/837438/3074.png
