Hi, (please sign your name in accordance with PMDG rules)Try installing the plane and if it fails to validate contact support via email. I'm guessing it'll work fine though.

oops sorry about that name again, you know I really don't do that on purpose? Now by installing do I have to go to the PMDG website and click on the PMDG 747-400 and say download or something?Bruno

Bruno,Do you still have the installer from when you bought it? If so, just copy that file over to the new PC... otherwise you're gonna have to contact support and if you don't have the file, you'll probably have to pay for the backup download service.

nope I got it still but how do I copy it too the new computer, like do I have to put it on a floppy, cause I am unable too do that.Bruno

Several ways to chose from.................1. Copy it to disk.2. Copy it to a Flash Drive key.3. Connect both computers together so that they can 'talk' to each other with an 'LAN' connection.4. The hardest, provide customer support with proof of your purchase together with registration and purchase details and wait.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/c130/c130_captain.gif

If I can provide the PMDG customer support with purchase info, and proof like the purchase number which I still have, will they send me a download link to my email again? I would like to connect the two computers together but I am using only the CD dive to put in the new one.

CD writers are peanuts nowadays. And very useful for backing up things the 747 download.(my problem is locating which CD I backed it up onto...)Don't think I would even contemplate getting a new system without one (or better yet a DVD writer). If you are downloading payware files I would consider getting one essential. They seriously increase your ability to backup crucial files in case of viruses or other nasties.Thumb drives are ammusing.I'm using one that cost a tenner and has significantly more storage (as in almost double) than the entire hard drive of my first PC. And is so small I have to rumage around in my bag to find the #### thing.
