I can't think of exactly where to find the info you need, but going from memory...If you want to hold, press the HOLD function key and it should bring up he legs page with 5 empty squares next to the 6L line select key. This is asking you where you wish to hold, so enter a waypoint or line select the location you wish to hold at. Once you have done this it will bring up the holding page allowing you to edit the hold details, such as the hold heading, left or right turn, leg time/length. I beleive once you are ready, you need to press the EXEC key to complete the procedure.Upon reaching the holding waypoint, (as long as LNAV is engaged) the aircraft should automatically hold until you tell it otherwise.Hope this helps

There are 2 methods depending on whether or not you have a hold in the legs page as part of the route or arrival/approach procedure. If you want to hold at your present position or at a waypoint/nav aid of your choosing then all you do is press the HOLD key. This brings up the legs page with a set of HOLD AT boxes at the bottom of the screen. If you want to hold where you are now press PPOS (present position). If you want to hold somewhere else then line select it from the legs page and put in in the bottom left set of boxes. The boxes will be displayed on any legs page so you can go next page on the legs without fear of loosing the boxes. If you had a HOLD already programmed in then when you pressed the HOLD button the ACT RTE 1 HOLD page would come up and show you the details of that HOLD procedure which you can adjust or ammend. If you want to hold at another pattern, lets say before that hold, then you need to select the prompt on the HOLD page. The prompt will change to EXIT ARMED. When executed the aircraft returns to the fix via the inbd course and exits the holding pattern and proceeds to the next waypoint on the legs page. You can also get out of the hold by doing a ....direct to ....the next waypoint. On the HOLD page will also be displayed your target speed and altitudes (SPG/TGT ALT). It will be in small font for VNAV predicted alts and speeds. You can manually enter what you want here and it will display in Lge font. A spd entry requires an altitude constraint as well. ie 220/5000. Fix ETA is the time the AC will next pass the holding fix. EFC time is the Expected further claerance time. If ATC said expect holding until time XXXXz then you would enter this value in there and it will change the ETA and fuel predictions for the destination. Hold available displays the holding time available and still be able to land, at the destination, with the entered fuel reserves (Perf page). Best speed is the best holding speed for the current aircraft gross weight, altitude and flap setting. Be careful though as this may exceed the regulatory maximum holding speeds.CheersSteve
