pmdg fms data question

Featured Replies

when using the fms in pmdg, why is it that waypoints are not found in the database.it always say , not in database.for instance i input and initalize the airport on the inital position page, ie. airport . I put in any name and it says that it does not exist.i tried many from kmia. to cyyz to zyyv to kdfw ... it wont even find kjfk or kord, ive tried vors and intersections with the same resultnow we all that they exist so what could the problem be?I also updated to the most recent nav cycle and still no gopeter

My first guess would be that your navdata is not in the correct location. The AIRAC from www.navdata.at should be in FS9FMCWPnavdata. And the procedures, from www.planepath.com should be in FS9PMDGSIDSTARS. "FS9" = where ever your FS2004 is installed, usually C:program filesmicrosoft gamesflight simulator 9. Hope this helps.

Peter, what page are you using to enter the waypoints? If you are using the RTE page, then you enter the waypoints on the right side of the FMC, not the left. If you are using the LEGS page then you would enter them using the LSK on the left. If on the ROUTE page and you are entering defined routes (e.g., J24), then enter the route on the left side with the waypoint on the right side on that same line.
