Are you using the icons to switch between the cockpit views? Funny things can happen if you start using shift+numbers.Only thing I can think of.

Occasionally I might get a main panel 2D lockup. Clicking on overhead and back to main refreshes the entire panel.

Yep a always use the icons.. Is there something else?

normally when you get the CG message at the top it means your aircraft weight is beyond the max.use the load manager to decrease your pax/cargo load or load less fuelhope this helps
