November 21, 200619 yr Hello! This might be a little off topic, but hey: People here are flying the PMDG 737/747 so maybe someone has the answer to this.I'm flying KORD to KJFK, approach via the LENDY5 STAR, landing on RW04L/R.I should cross LENDY at FL190 at 250 kts and expect vectors to RW04/L/R. How far will ATC send you out in the real world when you are supposed to be at the IAP at 2000 ft? What are the usual vectors and decent rates? Anyone please?Thnx!David Bernard
November 21, 200619 yr You can plan on being vectored after crossing the LGA VOR to about 3 to 5 miles offshore. Then downwind to turn about an 8 to 12 mile final depending on traffic.Hope this helps?Ed
November 21, 200619 yr This is modeled quite well in my sidstar procedures for JFK, available at either navdata.at or AVSIM libraries. Dan Downs KCRP
