I'm trying to setup a flight originating at gate 18 at CYOW. The FMC recognizes the airport but not the gate. How can I get the FMC to recognize the gate?Mark

Type aircraft?The 737 FMC gate function does nothing. According to the manual, it is used to initialize IRS, which isn't modelled either (in the 737).I know very little of the 747, but I'd venture to guess the answer is in the manual.

Mark,The gate coordinates must be defined in the SID/STAR file. If they are not you will not be able to call up gates in the FMC.Hope it helps,
