Very Interesting New Year's Question

Featured Replies

First off, Happy New Year's from Hawai'i. If I'm not mistaken we are the last people in the world to enter 2007. Anyway, I live in Makakilo which has a perfect veiw of the 8L approach into PHNL. Unfortunatly that path leads right over Ewa Beach. That area has about 75% of the islands supply of illegal arial fireworks. Here's my question. What do airlines do to avoid the "anit-aircraft fire"?Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

Most fireworks do not go higher than 200 ft, they'd have to be pretty close to the approach lights to present a risk. Major exhibitions are usually covered in NOTAMs.
