January 4, 200719 yr WEll i have tried to make a cold and dark start. i remmember making one for the 737ng with no problem but it seems like im running into alot of issues with the 747everytime i start the cold and dark file i just made the packs are always set to normal even though i turned them off and the fule is set to on even though i turned them off to. i tried usuing a cessna turning everything off except for the avionics then choosing the pmdg 747 and everything is fine so i save it as soon as i pick a flight and it loads up geuss whats on you guessed it the packs are set to normal and the fule buttons is on ans for a kicker sometimes the engines are on go figuer. If there is anyone who can get me over this problem with either a file or step by step directions i would greatly appreciate it.Thank you
January 5, 200719 yr Mmm, I don't think it's you. Come to think of it, Fuel selectors and Packs are on for me as well but everything else is off, the way I saved it. But, my engines are never on after loading the panel-state. I setup my 744 cold & dark and saved the panel-state in the PMDG menu. Then, I always start FS with the default FS Baron58 in a cold & dark configuration at my departure airport. Then I load my choice of PMDG744, then load the cold & dark panel-state from the PMDG menu, then set the amount of fuel from the PMDG Options menu. Hope this helps a bit... Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
January 5, 200719 yr What helped with the 737NG and all of my aircraft was to park the Baron or more complex default aircraft at a gate, set it up as C%D, (I also set my weather conditions for the Clear Sky theme which is needed to initialize some weather aspplications) and save it as the default FS flight. When FS starts it initializes some items as found in this default flight and these items are not saved and recalled on a saved flight. It did not help with the packs and bleeds, but everything else acted accordingly such as power, etc. This works even on create a flight.Using this C&D option as a default avoided for me the need to load the Cessna first.
