737 creeping with brakes set

Featured Replies

Hi all, My 737, any varient, will creep ahead at idle thrust with the parking brakes set,, N1 22.6 And with the brakes released it will roll fast enough for taxi speed. I have checked and recaliberated my controller,,Logitech wingman extreme digital 3d.Is this OK or should I call Maintenance to have them check and repair.:-hmmm Marshall (Bob) Gordon

Depending on your gross weight, the 73NG will taxi with no more than idle thrust. Therefore you don't need to contact Mx.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.sstsim.com/images/team/JR.jpgwww.SSTSIM.com

Hi John,Thanks for the info. The creeping is just a little disturbing. I had to leave the 737 idleing at the gate and do a couple chores and when I got back the nose was in the concorse and the Pilot was visiting with the people in there.:)One more question,,What should the N1 be at idle?

Yeh, that's a pain for sure. It's not just PMDG aircraft though. It happens with many of my aircraft.

Bob,Try hitting F1 to make sure the engines are really at idle - if you see the thrust drop some more after hitting it, it means that your throttle is still commanding thrust even when calibrated. Mine does this and to fix it you have to calibrate using the payware FSUIPC, which can offset it...
