Accurate aircraft loading difficulties

Featured Replies

I am having problems loading my aircraft accurately. Using the PMDG Load Manager, I am unable to:- set the basic operating empty weight to the 185035 kgs specified by my VA- set the number of passengers without clicking on each seat to get a weight that is the same as that calculated by TOPCAT (surely not a task for a pilot!)- set the cargo load accurately because the pallets appear to be all weighing 1588 kgs- fuel weights change variably with the slider by amounts ranging from 602 kgs to 1952 kgsAfter carefully following the Cruise and Fuel Planning chapter of the manual, it seems a shame not to support the careful calculations provided. Or am I missing something?Cheers, Richard

I'm not too picky with the payload weights, as long as the variation is a small percentage of the GTOW it doesn't make a difference in performance. However, the fuel load is unusable. I get it close (which is usually within 10,000 lbs - not real close) then set it again from the PMDG menu inside FSX. This one allows you to enter a fuel weight and make it happen.

Hi Dan!I have been trying to set up my own weight/fuel procedures, based on those in the PMDG documentation. I think I have now got it sussed. And you are right to suggest using the Load Manager initially, then setting the fuel from within the simulator using the fuel panel. Many thanks, Richard
