January 5, 200818 yr Hello, hopefully someone out there will be able to get me out of this mess...Anyway, here goes: when trying to run any of the 2 addon products standalone, everything is fine. The Queen (without RC v4.3) runs smoothly, RC 4.3 (when not using the Queen) runs perfectly. However, as soon as I try to fly the Queen with a proper ATC, I constantly get FMC messages that I don't get with RC v4.3 ("Unable next ALT"), the FMC erases itself multiple times before takeoff, before takeoff ATC goes into a loop announcing QNHs, after takeoff, the gear is unresponsive (impossible to retract the gear, the lever actually goes into the UP position, but wheels don't follow suit). For information, I am using FSX SP2, RC v4.3 and PMDG 747-400X. I have tries multiple times to uninstall and re-install. I even tried installing the addons in different orders, but nothing helps. Please help? Thanks,Paul
January 5, 200818 yr Paul,I don't think we have enough information to help. I am running the same software without any problems in the PMDG. Sounds like a machine specific issue.
January 5, 200818 yr Hi Paul, Like John I'm running the same set up as you and have had no problems so there is something about your set up that the programs don't like. Not sure if it's relevant but I'm using xp pro on a amd 64 4600 x2 and 8800gts graphics card.CheersSteve
January 6, 200818 yr Hello,I actually solved the problem by updating the PMDG 744X to the newest version. It seems that the initial version just didn't do the trick compatibility-wise.Best regards,Paul
January 18, 200818 yr John, saw your reply to Paul and have a couple of questions you appear equipped to answer... (please bear with me as I've been out of simming for about 5 years.)I too am running FSX PMDG 747-400X, Radar Contact and FSMeteo. I have FS2Crew also but understand that it is NOT compatible with Radar Contact.1. How do I set a "cold and dark" panel for the acft without using the preset "panel states" that show the acft at a specific airport, i.e. KPAE.2. How do I convert or upload a flight plan that I create in FSX to Radar Contact. I see no "export" area in the FSX flight planner.3. Am I correct in this procedure? a. Open FSX, then b. Open FSMeteo, then c. Open RCWould sure appreciate any help you can give.Jeff EvenRocklin, California, USA
