March 30, 200818 yr The PMDG 737 and 747 is tuly an amazing work of art software. But how close are the flight dymanics to the real 737 and 747 for example are the flight dymanics 95% to the real thing? With this software is being very realistic why dont PMDG markert this as an 'procedural simulator' for use with real world training? as one pilot who flys real 737's states the PMDG sim is 'so good that we can use it to train for real world operations' http://www.bradleymarsh.com.au/homepage/index.htmlwell done to pmdg and keep up the good worklatersPhil.
March 30, 200818 yr Both FDE's are among the best for Flight Simulator, numerous Real World 737NG Pilots congratulate PMDG on their brilliant replication of the Aircraft.
March 30, 200818 yr Yep, they are definitely the best out there. For further realism in flight dynamics, there were the optimum FS9 settings in a post. You should be able to find it if you do a search in the PMDG forum.Regards Onur K. Visit my FS blog: Clear Right...
March 30, 200818 yr <>PC-based FAA approved simulators are out there, I have one from ASA called On Top... but just the program. In order to use it to log time in my log book there's additional hardware required including a radio stack, etc. This is just for Part 90 training. There's a few 737s in Part 90 operation (privately owned), but not many 744s.When you get into air taxi or carrier training, it's a whole different game and much more expensive.FYI: A few years ago, here in Corpus Christi where's there's a lot of Navy flight training, there was an article in the paper about the Navy UPT flight school using MSFS for area familiarization.. but, they had upgraded scenery files since Mircrosoft's "as real as it gets" is too far from real for any practical use. But, it is an example of how a consumer game can be adopted to good use. Dan Downs KCRP
