Out of memory 747X, with an high end computer!

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a slight problem, I bought a new high end computer to be able to play the 747X with good framerates. However, I get a serious problem, whenever I fly the 747X with a more CPU intense scenario, FSX crashes and I get a warning message saying "your computer has run out of availible memory". This is very strange due to the fact that I run a;Intel core2 DUO 3,2 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, Geforce 8800 GTS 640MB and Windows Vista. Is there a know memory leak issue? Has anybody else than me come across this issue with an high end computer? Thanks in advanceBest regardsJohan

Johan, there's no memory problem coming from the PMDG software. The problem here is Windows. I hope you got yourself Vista 64?When I first installed Vista I had the same problem, it was solved with this:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940105Regards,Markus

Interesting...Does anyone know if this is automatically fixed in the Vista Service pack 1 that was recently released by MS?. Otherwise, is there a way to tell if this is fixed on my system. I experieinced these symptoms once but it was several months back and has not reoccured.GregH
