I was just wondering if anyone ran into this problem and knows how to fix it. With the 744 in the preflight checklist, I get to the IRS selectors, I switch them off, then nav, then align. When i do this my attitude indicator( the blue and red part diplaying sky and ground) go missing, but everything else is there. Anyone ran into this before?

Its a typo- just go to NAV for initial power-on IRS initialization.Best-Carl F. Works perfect now, Thank you very much.P.S One more, Although I havnt RTFM in it's entirety, is the nav frequencies (ILS freq) controlled by the FMC alone, or is there a nav radio somewhere I havnt found. Thanks again.

FMC NAV RAD ONLY- 109.50/252= freq and FAC. RTFM- its worth it!Best-Carl F.
