MD11 GE Engine Reflections

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,I've noticed that the PW aircraft have reflective surfaces on the engine cowlings (the same as the rest of the aircraft) but the GE aircraft engine cowlings do not. Is anybody else seeing this?I was wondering if I might have a spec file missing from the main texture folder. Thanks,Dave

Hi Vin,I am seeing the problem on the PAX and freighter versions of the GE house livery, as well as Finnair (Moomins), KLM (new), Lufthansa (Orange), Gemini (New). As I said, all PW's appear to be OK.After you asked the question I downloaded a couple more GE's and found that American and Korean were the same, but Thai is OK. So far that is the only GE livery that I have installed that shows the engine reflections.Dave

Vin,FYI - Since the Thai engine textures were showing up correctly, I opened them up using DXTBMP. It looks like they have the correct grey alpha channel, while the textures that are not working only have a white alpha channel. I modified the alpha channel of the Lufthansa engine textures to the correct shade of grey, and now the reflections are showing up properly on that livery.Dave
