767, Vatsim and Push to Talk

Featured Replies

Dear all,I have had PIC for a while now and want to try new challenges of flying on Vatsim. I was tempted by last weekends fly-in to Maderia but couldn't make it. However, I am trying to find how I could programme one of my joystick buttons to be a "push to talk" button when using Roger Wilco. I have just bought a headset and mic but I think it needs to be set up on the joystick. Roger Wilco seems to accept F12 but I prefer to use the joystick if possible. I have a MS FF2 stick. Many thanksClowesy

OK, here's how you do it.Open the 'Buttons' tab of FSUIPC and press the button you wish to use as your PTT for Roger Wilko. Now check mark the 'Select for FS control' box.Now under 'Control sent when button pressed' click the little down arrow and scroll down to 'Roger Wilko Transmit On'Check the 'Control to repeat while held'Under 'Control sent when button released' select 'Roger Wilko Transmit Off' as you did above.Click 'OK' and there you go.HTH

Many thanks Vulcan,A dimwit - muppet approach to assigning buttons, will try it out this evening.CheersClowesy
