Just a another point for the new Landing panel setup, you can NOW look in any direction WITHOUT it changing back to the deafault main view! Using the keypad also will not effect the landing view. And a correction for the above post line 4] should read: default AIRCRAFT not panel. Randy

Not yet, but I hope to have it ready tonight, just need to "cleanup" the window outline on the landing panel and double check the panel cfg. Here are a couple of pictures in daylight hours. Let me know if you can see a differance between this "new" main panel and the one you use? Notice the right window post position on the landing panel, it matches the main panel's position excactly :]. Regards, Randy Smith

Randy,Will you be providing information in the update as to how to make the new stuff work with the previous landing-views. I myself won't use the "PIC-style" landing-view, since IMO it's not very good, and would like to stick to the old ones :).Could it be possible if you included your older view with the update as well, or at least some instructions how to "convert" it to work in the "new way" ?thanks!Tero

In a word YES. Thats what so great about this. With the new main I created it makes it posiible to use any of the landing panels. I have to check one of the older versions out and then I'll let you know. What panel do you use right now for landing? It does work flawless with Lee's panel also. Randy

Hi Randy!I'm currently using your panel in Numpad 5, and Phil's view in Numpad 2. Depending on the situation (Visual or instrument appr.) I swap between your views. Generally I think that your view is more in use, although Phil's panel is equally good and important. I would like for the new stuff to be implemented in them both... if possible :).Tero

Hey Randy,I'm experimenting with this new set-up as we speak.. I just had two questions! Anyway to fix the problem where it displays really big FMC, pedestal, etc... Also, is it possible to make it display different ZOOM, VIEW_DIR settings when I hit the invisible button... The problem is, my landing view uses a ZOOM of 1.0, and a VIEW_DIR of around 16. Thanks a bunch.Sincerely,Phil Geddes

Mike B has been giving a hand trying some things out so I am sending you the newer cfg file with everthing in its right position and size! As to the {view zoom etc} yes , it will display the forward settings for both the main and landing the same. I have no problem with this but I have not seen what panel your are trying to use, if its differnt than your newest? I'll send you the new cfg ASAP and xml.Regards,Randy

Phil, I have the {zoom} at .7 and the {view_dir} to 17. This seems to work nice for the main and landing panel that I am using. You can change it but remember that since this is a forward view, it will effect the main settings. I will try to change the {zoom} through the xml gauge {this is possible} but view_dir must be the same for both as set in the window cfg settings. I'll go change the xml now and see if the 1.0 zoom will stay when switching.Best,Randy

Thank's MIKE-:) I am working out any problems that might come up, but it does work just great. Phil Gheddes has his own landing panel and this one is mine. I should have it ready very soon. I was helping Phil to adapt his landing panel with my setup so he can also have landing lights and rain. Anyways, my panel looks alot like Lee's but with some post, Phil's looks like a real 757 . I wanted to keep it as close to the original panel as possible. Randy

Hey Randy...I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to get this thing to work... at least with my setup. The problem is, not only do I have a different zoom between my main panel and vfr views, but I also have three different VIEW_DIR settings (3.5 for the main panel, 16.0 for the main look-down view, and 6.75 for the "look straight-ahead" view). I know that what I'm trying to achieve is very delicate, but maybe there's some solution out there. Will be kind of slow for me, with everything coming up this month.Regards,Phil Geddes

I will be glad to tell you one setup that works and works really well. It is the one that I am now using thanks to all of the efforts of Lee, Randy, Phil, and Gauthier. This will be pretty much what Randy is about to put out for download as he is the one that has really made all this come together. As for me, about all I did was tweak a little here and there.I have worked toward this for sometime now, well Randy Smith did all of the real work here lately as I mostly just said
