December 28, 200223 yr Newbie question:Just got 767PIC today. Really excited, but really frustrated. Used to flying the Dreamfleet 737, no probs. Went through all checklists for cockpit prep and engine startup. Engines started no prob. Two issues, suspect they're related.1) Taxi requires continuous N1 around 45%. At first I thought this was a little high, but more importantly EGT is sitting at over 800.2) Take-off roll, when setting take-off power, EGT immediately goes into warning and causes engine fire about 3/4 of V1.so, I thought being a newbie that I must have missed something and instead used the saved flight, "767 PIC Takeoff". No difference.Doesn't seem to matter what I do, can't get this puppy up to power.Any advice? Something I'm doing wrong?
December 28, 200223 yr your temp is 71 C???? Try to fix the weather, then takeoff again and your problem will be fixed. @ 71 Degrees Celsius your engines will melt.
December 28, 200223 yr I like to add to that. The power setting to get the bird moving IS higher than the real thing but this was done so that we can have accurate climb preformance etc. So a trade off was necessary. How are you applying your take-off thrust?Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing" Randy J Smith
December 28, 200223 yr Commercial Member Umm, yeah it's most definitely that ridiculously high outside air temp... ;) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 28, 200223 yr >Umm, yeah it's most definitely that ridiculously high >outside air temp... ;) Thanks guys, hadn't noticed the air temp on the gauge, have no idea where that came from! Shut down FS and restarted and it was fine after.
December 28, 200223 yr Yeeeeaaaahhhh!!!.....+71C temp, maybe u were flying on venus during the daytime. ;)I'll have to do that. I didn't realize PIC would create an engine fire if the EGT went to high. The more I learn about this program the more I love it.-=MB=-
