I have just had a nightmare

Featured Replies

A bit of topic but I woke up in a cold sweat last night. My PIC 767 didnt work with FS2004, I tried carl sagans 2004 PIC merge file - no good, I had to go back to default aircraft, it was horribleAAAAAAAAAAAGgggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhSorry - my counsellor told me to share ;->

That is not a nightmare...It's DejaVu or you have the ability to look into the future...Because when FS2004 comes out, this is what we expect for ALL our add-ons...George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

All I have to say about it is Microsoft better take note because I will not purchase FS2004 without the ability to use PIC or ANY 2D PANEL!!!Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing"

According to my view of the future, either in FS2004 I can use PIC or simply there will be no future for fs2004 in my computer...Take care.Roberto

seen the low amount of 'hard-core' simmers.... i think MS is really not gonna care about what we think... if they doit their way they'll do it their way...my 2 cents...Cheers

And who da hell is always spreading those rumors about FS2004 not having 2D panels??It will have! But there will be no more update for PIC 767, that

Really? So you have some "insider information"? Why do you think CFS3 has NO 2D PANELS? I would HOPE that there would be but the trend seems to be swaying the other way my friend. I can live with no PIC in FS 2004 because I will keep FS 2002 for that BUT this VC cockpit only CRAP has to go. Best Wishes,Randy J. [email protected]" A little learning is a dangerous thing"

hey randy, I remember CFS3 team saying they're totally independant from the FS team... so i guess FS will keep it's own engine, yet try and add those nice eviromental FX we see in CFS3...just a hypothesis... not confirmed in any way, this is just what i make out of it...CHeers

I have also heard that FS2004 will not have any 2D panels nor will it be backward compatiable with 2D panels.

As exciting as 2004 might be, I don't even want to think about 2 weeks of configurations any time soon. Compatibility issues, GEEEZE!

No 2D panels in FS2004, then I will not purchase FS2004.I'm happy with FS2002, even though it has many little bugs. On the other hand, I only fly IFR, and don't really need all the eye candy that other people look for. The PIC panel is all the eye candy I need for my IFR flights and approaches. As for CF3 only having a virtual cockpit... I guess they went that way because bottom line, do you really fly IFR the way most people fly IFR in FS2002? Nope... It's really a VFR game, where as FS2002 and I hope FS2004 will still remain a VFR/IFR simulator.

Lou Betti from Dreamfleet posted that support for 2D panels does in fact remain in FS2004 - he most undoubtably has the alpha/beta so I'd believe what he says... ;)
