I am sorry to keep harping on this switch over 767 PIC for FS2003 but before I give up on it completely, I will try one more time with your help. Please let me explain my problem. I purchased the original 767 PIC CD, installed it, and applied the correct patch for it to work with FS2002 (with your help and several other posts on the topic). Now when I choose one of the 767 PIC liveries in FS2002, and the program starts to load, I get several screens with the error message, "Scenerary object not found...." and the address of the various "missing" scenery objects. I uninstalled 767 PIC, used the cleaner to make sure everything is gone, and reinstalled using the same procedure as above. The same thing happened. After posting this problem before, it was suggested by someone, that I use the Posky merge.Unfortunately, this has created another question for me. I downloaded the PIC/POSKY merge file, but truth be told, I have no idea what I am doing, or why I am doing it. From reading through the literature on this board and the text file that comes with the POSKY merge file, it appears that in order to use this POSKY merge, I must first download a POSKY 767 airline file in the file archives. Is this correct. Will this POSKY merge file work with the 767 aircraft that came with the original CD?Sorry if this sounds like I am repeating myself, but I have become very frustrated, and am one step away from trashing the whole 767 PIC experience. But since I got a small taste of flying the 767 PIC, I would really like to make this work.Any help would be much appreciated. Please be detailed in your response. Thanks in advance for your patience and help.

I'm passing up the opportunity to make a smart comment but as the very name of the process suggests, you have to download POSKY livery/liveries of your choice and merge them with the 767 PIC panel as outlined in the documentation that accompanies the merge file. You can find POSKY aircraft at http://www.projectopensky.com/downloads-index.phpYou need to download the 767-300 Version 3 - GMax aircraft(s) of your choice.

Hi there,ok, let's start from the beginning. First, PIC was designed for FS2000. There were limitations in the level of detail that could be added to aircraft models in the FS2000 graphics engine, so add-on designers looked for workarounds to add the desired level of detail. One of those was to display aircraft as scenery, which allowed for more animation etc. to be added. However, this came at a very heavy cost on frame rates. With FS2002, there came a new graphics engine and a design tool called Gmax, which is very resource-friendly, and allows for a level of detail and animation that was not seen before. When PIC was upgraded for FS2002, only the panel was patched, but nothing was done to the models, as there is no easy way of converting old FS2000-style models to Gmax - basically you'd have to design the whole aircraft from scratch.Enter POSKY (full name 'Project Opensky'), an excellent freeware design group, who decided to design an all-new 767 for FS2002 in Gmax with all the bells and whistles. This became the aircraft of choice for anyone who uses the PIC panel - not only do you get more detail, animation and eye-candy, but also a significant boost in frame rates. As the PIC panel is entirely custom coded (I think only the altimeter uses default FS parameters), you can't just install the POSKY plane and copy over the PIC panel - you'll need to use the PIC FDE as well for everything to function properly. Now enter Lee Hetherington, a regular contributor to this forum, who developed a 'merge' file (which you have already downloaded), that makes the panel work seamlessly with the POSKY model. So, yes, you'll need to download a POSKY 767. There's a huge choice of liveries, plus hundreds of repaints here at Avsim, so I'm sure you'll find your favourite airline. Then just follow the instructions on how to merge them, and you should be ready to fly. Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

Greetings fellow simmer'sSorry to interupt but i'm having almost same problem.Unfortunately my problem is now and then, last time it happend wassome 20 min. ago.Loading FS2002, selected posky 767/3 and placed it at eddf, getting ready took me some 10-15 min, taxi also went fine but right after t/o the damm thing frooze with the usual warning regarding missing scenery texture file. When it's happening it's a random point, ground and flight mode, and some flight just going fine without the problemFurther more 3 warning dialog boxes, iconexcl.bmp, dlgalerttrans.bmp and dlgalertopaque.bmp missing !, they are all there in FS2002 folders.I'm running Win XP home edition on a 2ghz computer, 1024 mb RRam, and a Asas Gforce 4 128mb ram.I'm almost 100% sure this is related to 767, or at least i can say i've never seen it on other panels/aircraft.Event Viewer report : Faulting application fs2002.exe, version 8.0.0.10919, faulting module visualfx.dll, version 8.0.0.10919, fault address 0x00008ea2Thanks in advance Flemming Jansen
