FSBuild 2 & PIC = Winning Combination

Featured Replies

Hello Ernie!>But at the moment, I really see no purpose that producing this>format would serve. I mean is there's no ATC organization in->volved in flightsim requiring this format ??I can see a useful purpose: Eurocontrol maintains a freely-acessable website where everyone can validate his ATS flightplan to check if it complies with the currect airway structure and current restrictions in Europe. The Validator is part of the CFMU (Central Flow Management Unit) system which Eurocontrol uses to manage the traffic flow on Europe

Cheers,

Martin,The CFMU structured editor can be used with the ATS format in Fsbuild's flight plan box. Seems to work fine for validating your routings.I still think its un-necessary, but I'm willing to defer to 'want' over 'need' here.I'll look into it, if its not too much effort, I will include it in the upcoming 2.01 update/patch.Regards.Ernie.

Ernie, Lee,Please, keep us posted on this.I really would appreciate also if FSBuild2 (fantastic add-on, congratulations Ernie!) could get the winds from FSMeteo.Do you know if Marc Philibert got some heads-up on this ?ThksMichelAF011

> really would appreciate also if FSBuild2 (fantastic add-on, >congratulations Ernie!) could get the winds from FSMeteo.Hi Michel,Fsbuild2 already 'does' get the winds aloft from FSMeteo. What we are working on is a way to reduce the number of steps required to do this.Regards.Ernie.

Got it, Ernie!I mis-interpreted the post from Lee (how could I? it was pretty clear when reading it more carefully). My apologies for my confusion.I have then to work this out a little bit (I printed the manuals and tutorials but had no time yet to dig into it!).Bien amicalement.MichelKSEA

Ernie or Mike,Since you're monitoring this thread :-)I just got a chance to explore FSBuild 2 and plugged in a standard KLAS-KLAX request with MCCRN1.HEC transition and CIVET arrival. The resulting flight plan generated was KLAS OASYS2.DAG YENNI.YENNI1 KLAX (312 miles)I was expecting to see either a "stored route" or KLAS-MCCRN1.HEC-CIVET.CIVET4-KLAX (218 miles) as would be generated by the original version of FSBuild. What am I doing incorrectly here? Obviously its a case of RTFM but I haven't had a chance to do so yet.
