June 13, 200322 yr The CD Key that was taped on my 767 cd holder was partially scratched off by somebody, and I can't see all the numbers of the CD KEY. I can provide proof in pictures that I have the orginal cd if needed. I tried emailed Wilco, but they never answer their email. I know I should have wrote down the key in another safe place incase the cd container got damaged, but I didnt' use this program much. Am I out of luck? I know some people will think i'm trying to get a cd key for nothing. As a last resort I tried another cd key that didn't come with my original, but it said I wasn't authorized to use the FS2002 upgrade. I purchased my 767 PIC CD over a year ago from Electronics Boutique or Compusa.Jeff
June 14, 200322 yr Well, I am sure you won't get anyone giving you a key on this forum, at least posting like that! If you bought it from EB or Comp USA, it will contain a manual. Now, if you can provide say, on page 16, under BETA TESTERS, the last beta tester name listed, you *Might* get a private responce but I am not SAYING it will happen..........[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. June 14, 200322 yr Not to be funny but what use would a CD key be without the install CD? :-lolI know someone will be thinking warez but then again? Surley if it was warez it would contain a file with the cd code!Anyway, glad your problem is solved now you can get back to enjoying the wonders of PIC!! :D
June 14, 200322 yr Commercial Member This is a perfectly legit post IMO - I had nearly the same thing happen to me last year, I keep my CDs in a big folder - I reformatted my HD one day and discovered that I had the PIC CD, but no key because I couldn't find the jewel case. I eventually did find it, but someone sent me a key knowing that I was telling the truth etc...Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
June 17, 200322 yr A little off topic,But one thing I like to do, is write the CD-Key onto the CD itself. That way I'll always have the CD key, because I have the install CD. So if I lose the jewel case/documentation, the key is always there.Sometimes if the program is still installed, you can go into the Windows registry to get the CD-Key. I had to do this once for my Windows install CD. After that experience, I started writing the CD Keys onto the install CD itself.Cheers :)Woodreau
June 17, 200322 yr Yes this is very true, just be sure you don't push to hard writing on the cd or you will corrupt the data, sine the data resides on the TOP layer not underneth..[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
