Ponsky Ponderosa Fun!

Well, I enjoyed that....Departures from PAJN seemed to flow very smoothly, kudos to whoever did ATC at that end!I cannot figure out why I got winds at 240/35 along the route (same as Mike's f/p, BTW) but everyone else was talking about 80kt winds...I was using the server winds, were other people using something else? This was at FL370.Arrivals were a little more hectic, didn't help that we lost voice just coming over SWR. You get used to having voice and then we you lose it you realize how much more juggling needs to be done between handling the airplane and typing, especially on the approach and landing. Then at the end, after I got a great parking spot in a nice photo-op line of PIC767 airplanes on the grass(!), I stupidly hit my slew key and ended up on Mars or some ridiculous place and lost my great spot @$%&!*@$%_@%$(P@&%Oh, well, anyway thanks to Mike and everyone who organized and assisted in ATC another great event!DamonAAL666

Ahhh, those were supposed to be just links. How do I post the link only without having it appear on the Forum which I understand is not allowed because there are more than 5 of them?? Anyone know?MikeB

this is not the screenshot forum, Rob doesn't wander around here with his stick... don't worry ;)there is a HTML coding to include links i think but i don't kow which....too bad i couldn't join... ;(Cheers

Seems like fun! I could only listen to you on RW every now and then, but couldn't be there for all 3 hours+...Next time probably

Thanks for the flight to Ponderosa. Well done. Appreciated to take part of it. Cause I'm a german simmer havin' some problems with visual seperation *g*. TCAS warning in red, but well done by myself. Thanks to all participants. See you next time.Stefan, FSC *Simclub* 259http://www.edll.de/ops_edll/members/Soellner_Stefan.jpg*lol* Couldn't resist. But it's an offical image *rofl*Uuuuh! Thanks Mike for the initial and the screenies :-)

Looks like it was a lot of fun! I'm sorry I missed it but real world obligations got the better of me today. I think this is the first PIC on VATSIM that I've missed. x(

Ahh, so you DID get me before I hyper-spaced out!!! Good for you Mike!! I was only parked there for about 10 mins, lucky timing on my part.As you can see, not such a great job on my parking either which was why I was trying to get a tug to pull me up a little bit straigher with everyone else (g!).Nice to see the pics though, thanks for sharing them!DamonAAL666

I posted a "Thank You" message on the Oakland ARTCC forum and received the following reply:_____________________________________________________________Mike Your pilots did a great job on cooperation on maintaining separation on the way into TVL. It made my job at center easier and im sure helped out approach (Rob) and tower (Mark). Looking forward to your next flyin/flyout.-----------------Doug PullenVatusa SupervisorOakland ARTCC_____________________________________________________________I also sent an email to the Chief Training Instructor for Anchorage Center for the excellent job that John Van did getting us cleared and out of there while managing the inbound traffic. When he cleared DS (CVA3339) for immediate departure with Bill (ACA303) starting his opposite direction approach, then launched me less than 60 seconds later, I knew he was really with it and had a high level of confidence in us as pilots. Thanks again to everyone for the great job in the cockpit.

seems to me i missed out a big one!!!! ;(next time!!!but of course it was worth it. My weekend of studying the female cycles(like how they produce their eggs (mitose - meiose at different stages), genetics and evolution theory paid of today and as of a result i have got an A on my exam. A equals 90% or more. So that's satisfying aswellahh well, next time, tomorrow i have my 'final final'so it's the VERY last exams french i'll EVER take :D this makes me a happy manCheers

I posted a reply yesterday but it does not seem to have got through. If BCA01 landed on top of anyone at PAJN I apologise.Saturday was the first time I have flown with Vatsim since updating my OS from Win98 to Win2k.When I joined the session I could not see any other 'players' but could hear engines so knew someone was around.I tried 3 or 4 times but each time could not see anyone so abandoned the flight.I am still 'blind' so until someone comes up with a cure (problem posted in the Vatsim forum) I am unable to fly with Vatsim :-(Glad you all had a good flights.Rgds

The reply from our Juneau controller once again complements the skills and temperment of our PIC community. __________________________________________________________Mike & Tomas, Thanks for the kind words. It was a pleasure to work a group of pilots that obviously had their collective "stuff" together. The two inbounds had me a bit worried for a sec but it worked out just fine. No one got impatient which was the key to a successful departure from Juneau. Regards and again, thanks for the words........ John___________________________________________________________
