July 8, 200322 yr Just a teaser of what I have been working on. Everything is functional except for the upper right two toggles and the ATC FAIL and IDENT. The various selectors will control my IVSI/TCAS gauge. Transponder and IVSI/TCAS properly pay attention to PIC's left power bus. The IVSI/TCAS pays attention to the selected IRU status and flags V/S and RA when appropriate (tested for both the 1.2 and 1.3 patches).http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/22101.gifhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/22102.gifThanks to Mark McGrath for the inspiration and some bitmaps and Ian Riddel for a photo used for the transponder background. No RA vertical commands or audio for the TCAS yet. Hopefully those will be in a future release. I need to get back to working on the RA logic.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
July 8, 200322 yr Now that I've stopped twitching from excitement, is there any time frame for the release of this?Ryan
July 8, 200322 yr Beyond words!Somehow, I think the PIC767 and FS2002 will be on my PC for many years to come.Incredible....the 767 just keeps getting better...meanwhile, the competition charges almost double the $$ and struggles to keep up with an almost 3 year old product for FS2000. I heard a certain competitor is going to charge for the TCAS gauge? Shame ;-)WELP767 - "slightly ahead of our time"Rob.PS - Bonus points to anyone who can tell me which audio manufacturer used that slogan in the early 80's.

July 8, 200322 yr Outstanding!I did not think anyone would remember! I became conscious for a short time in the 80's, I don't recall it from the 70's...too young ;-)6 pack of virtual beer and a PIC767 t-shirt for you!

I became conscious for>a short time in the 80's, I don't recall it from the>70's...too young ;-)>>6 pack of virtual beer and a PIC767 t-shirt for you!Ahh - there is a reason - or should I say a story. The 70's were the 'trendy' astrology times with all the posters and music to go along with it. Everyone wanted to know everyone else's sign - it was the 'ice-breaker' when you met "someone" (if you catch my drift! Hmmm - another 70's term???)I coined the phrase - "I'm Aquarius - I'm slightly ahead of the times" borrowing from Panasonic's slogan. FWIW: I graduated HS in 74. ;-)-michael
July 8, 200322 yr Lee,Excellent work as usual, your programming skills never cease to amaze me.Which 767 model is the TCAS Control/Transponder Panel from?Best Regards,
July 8, 200322 yr I believe Ian shot this on a 747, and we figured it seemed close enough and would offer controls useful for my TCAS.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/22115.jpgI have no idea if any 767s have this, but they likely have TCAS control panels elsewhere. Mark suggested changing the L/R switch into a range selector, but otherwise is it little changed.I wonder if I should put the green sticker on my gauge? I kind of like it. :-)Lee Hetherington (KBED)
July 8, 200322 yr Just fantastic :-cool ...Take your time, PIC + FS2K2 + 1 Million addons shall remain for long long time again my only Flight Simulator since no other aircraft out there is As Real As PIC:-lol And if guys like you keep on adding always more and more functions (as you do), there will be less and less reason for me to consider changing before :-roll ....FK2K10 :-lol :-lol :-lol Keep-up the good work.Christian
July 8, 200322 yr Lee,Some 767s have a very similar TCAS control panel. Attached is an image displaying just that.Best Regards,
July 8, 200322 yr WOW! you're the man :-)What about making the Ident button work with Vatsim's SB3? I am pretty sure Joel (SB3 programmer) can make it happen on his side.
July 8, 200322 yr Already ahead of you!I have already fired off a post in the SB3 forum and to Pete Dowson (FSUIPC). I think we need FSUIPC to provide a couple read/write slots so that my gauge could write the standby/ident info and SB3 could read it. Since SB3 is already communicating with FSUIPC, that seems like a convenient medium for communicating this info. Otherwise, I don't know how to get the info to SB3, especially if it is on another machine via WideFS.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
