July 8, 200322 yr Awesome stuff Lee.The first thing to enter my mind after "WOW" was "I hope I can turn my transponder off/on and ident on vatsim with this".Simply amazing once again - you continue to impress. Now at some point you should get back in the skies - we miss your company.
July 9, 200322 yr The gauge is working wonderfully! Thanks for letting me beta test it. You guys are going to just love this addon.I can't wate for version 2 with the RA/TA aural warnings and vertical speed advisories. Go Lee Go!!
July 9, 200322 yr Tieing the VSI and TCAS correctly into the electrical and navigation system is way cool. I also just noticed that the original click spots on the gauge still work, you can click those spots and watch the knobs turn on the pedistal. I like that feature for those poor souls out there that only have one monitor and do not always have the pedistal in view. Also people, make note that the Above and Below switch has three positions - very importaint! And having everything, including the transponder click spots work with a right/left (decrease/increase) function is way way way cool.Lee done good!
July 9, 200322 yr A teaser indeed...looking forward to the end product !!Thanks for taking the time to make a great product even better...Regards
July 9, 200322 yr Lee,When you begin programming the TCAS RA pitch commands will they be displayed on the ADI or the IVSI?Best Regards,
July 9, 200322 yr Emm I don't want to seem slow or so, but I have only been able to find ONE release of your TCAS Lee?I have seen pictures of it shutting down at power loss, but I can't find ANY new releases by you???Boaz...
July 9, 200322 yr Ha I am SO sorry guys :(I saw the post lower down :)I just thought that the TCAS was released as a patch before the console thing...Ah well I am slow :DThanks again Lee for doing such marvels! Really you are the heart and lung machine until the PIC team can take over again!!!Boaz...
July 9, 200322 yr Lee,Would it be possible to program a transparent guage over the existing ADI so it is visible only when a resolution advisory condition exists? It would display the pitch attitude to be avoided in red for traffic seperation.Best Regards,
July 9, 200322 yr Hi Lee. Just wondering how hard would it be to make it so the IDENT button is clickable for SB. I think it is annoying using the SB to use the IDENT feature. I knwo some Add-ons have the clickable ident button. I forget which ones
July 9, 200322 yr It is not possible to program a "vector" gauge with transparency in FS2002. Besides, in my experience, a vector gauge draws through anything you put on top of it, because I believe it ends up drawing directly to the screen. Sorry. My life would have been a lot easier if it was possible. I had to jump through hoops to deal with the frame for the IVSI/TCAS because the display itself is not rectangular. I actually resorted to using a separate panel window to hold the frame.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
July 9, 200322 yr Commercial Member This looks great Lee! WELP should add you to the team if/when they do PIC2... ;-)Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 10, 200322 yr "Would it be possible to program a transparent guage over the existing ADI so it is visible only when a resolution advisory condition exists?"Wouldn't this be unrealistic, Ryan? I thought only aircraft with the EHSI version of TCAS did this?Keeping out of the red zone on the TCAS/IVSI should keep you out of trouble ;-)http://members.ozemail.com.au/~744er/767/TCASIVSI2.jpgCheers.Ian.
July 10, 200322 yr I agree with you there Ian. Some of the newer 767's have the TCAS displayed on the EHSI and the VSI displays the pitch command during an RA. The older 767's have the all in one IVSI/TCAS gauge as it was far less expensive to upgrade the airplane with this style of gauge. I actually prefer the IVSI/TCAS gauge as it keeps the EHSI a bit less cluttered.Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns/AFG GroupPanel/FDE DesignerP.S.Great work Lee I will definately be switching back to your IVSI/TCAS and transponder package when it's released.
