July 15, 200322 yr The updated TCAS IVSI and Transponder have been posted to AVSIM's library: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=33281&CatID=Root. If you downloaded prior to now, 15 July 2003, 1800Z, you have the old version. This fixes the interference with PIC's cursor hands on the clock, EHSI controls, etc., and the frame shading issue when switching between full-screen and windowed mode, during the day, with the panel flood light off.Sorry for the inconvenience.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
July 15, 200322 yr Lee and all,I am real sorry about those issues getting past us during all the testing of the new gauge. As I had said in another post, I had the cursor problem long before the first TCAS gauge came out many months ago and never considered that the new gauge might have made it worse. As to the shading issue, I had not experianced it because I never go full screen.Good work Lee on sorting it all out so quickly!Mike
July 15, 200322 yr No problem, Mike! They were pretty minor little issues and were easily fixed once I understood them.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
July 15, 200322 yr Thanks Lee for your hard work!PIC767 is the only reason why I will not uninstall FS2002.Regards

Charly Diaz Azcue[br /] BAW062 [br /] HC270CH Q8
[/p][/p]
July 15, 200322 yr WOW Lee! Excellent work, makes a superb addition to PIC.Thanks again for all your time!Ian
July 15, 200322 yr Same here...The cursor "problem" pre-dated the TCAS gauge. The hand would not always appear, but the click spot still works. I would not consider this a problem. The shading issue also pre-dates the TCAS gauge...in fact it pre-dates FS2002...so I am at a loss to understand how Lee's work could have influenced it. Simply switching from day to night or vice versa will refresh the black boxes that irregularly appear around the switches...it is a VIDEO CARD issue, not Lee's.(edit - the above is in reference to the shading/boxes appearing around the clock/rmi brought up in another post)As for those using Full screen...I don't understand why you would want to, on my system and others I have seen it runs a lot faster in a windowed mode, and switching back to other apps is a breeze. Needless to say, I never tested the gauge in full screen. MS recommends to run FS in a Windowed mode, I believe Wade also recommended this. What perceived value are users getting from running in full screen mode? I am curious.Rob.
July 15, 200322 yr Lee,No problem, many thanks again!!!!Hope to download many more of your PIC767 add ons!By the way, I am still looking for a way to read the PIC767 specific variables ;-) ;-) ;-)Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
July 15, 200322 yr What perceived value are users getting from running in full screen mode? I am curiousHi Rob,Maybe becouse they don't want to see the menues? and the box around the screen with the red "X" on the right? ;)Regards

Charly Diaz Azcue[br /] BAW062 [br /] HC270CH Q8
[/p][/p]
July 15, 200322 yr Rob,Well about perceived value:1) in full screen mode the Anti Alias algoritm of my video card seems to do a much better job;2) you're not disturbed by the MS windows stuff, it's more real..Switching aplications is not necessary, because all my other applications (SB, ActiveSky, Servinfo, RWswitcher,...) run on another PC.With fast computers the fps drwaback is not such an issue. I have only switched back to windowed mode thesedays, because I have the FMC window undocked just below my main screen to fit over my 5 inch TV and the upper part of the FMC window is still to be seen at te bottom of my main screen. This is not visible however if running in windowed mode...Regards,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl
