July 26, 200322 yr http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/25927.jpgPosting modified PIC panel config file + two bitmaps to make PIC panel flyable in FS2K4 (windowed mode only). All the information you can find in "how_to install.txt". Important: This is not a regular patch, take it as a first aid for unpatient PIC 767 users like me only...It will be great to find somebody who can solve problem with some transparent gauges without this a little inelegant solution.regardsMartin Behounek (LKPR)
July 26, 200322 yr There is a little mistake in "how to instal.txt" - corect name of module whith must be added to "OLDMODULES" is APS.DLL not "APC"... Sorry
July 26, 200322 yr Great job so far, I cannot figure out the bitmaps for the gauges yet, I can change them to whatever I desire and have looked at other COF ones but am not sure what's going on, the fact that they show up at all means there is hope. One other word, as Wade has pointed out FSUIPC is not needed for PIC BUT some will have unwanted rudder etc movent and pitching problems without it so I suggest those of you who want to use this in COF to purchase the new FSUIPC.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. July 30, 200322 yr I can't find APS.dll an the 767fmc.gau on my computer.Do i need to download them seperately, or am i diong something wrong?
July 31, 200322 yr I copied both those files to the PIC folder in FS9 but can't seem see either one when I start FS2K4 with PIC panel. Where exactly in the PIC folder are they supposed to go?Great job on this "patch!"ThanksJohn in Auburn, Ga
July 31, 200322 yr Nice work with the patch.I really wanted such stuff.Anyway, is this correct as you intended?(Please check the picture I attatched.) If so, you mean there is no way to use EICAS and EHSI without using undocked window? Thanks in advance!
July 31, 200322 yr No,The drawback of this unofficial patch is just that...I for one am not "raping" my PIC like that... and no disrespect to the people who made it possible.Tero PPL(A)
July 31, 200322 yr OK. Thanks for your reply.I just wondered if my setting was correct or not.I also respect "SimBird" for his great job.
July 31, 200322 yr Guys, please be sure you have plenty of battery power before "undocking" those windows, or FS2004 will crash unexpectedly. If your batter runs out, just turn the engines on, take off, and then you can undock them. Just use regular gauges for takeoff.Once in the air, you can file an IFR plan, program the FMC with no rush, etc.Hope someone would find a solution for this. Yeah, I know, BUY FSUIPC!!!
July 31, 200322 yr I would love to know how you program an FMC in the air after take off! Man, that realism is just what I am looking to by into
July 31, 200322 yr What kind of battery does FS2004 take? Will a 1.5V AA work? I never realized undocked windows use more power than docked ones.:-hmmmLee Hetherington (KBED)
July 31, 200322 yr The old FS Battery Bug rears its head again.FSUIPC has the extended Battery life Fix.Without the payware version for FS9 then you don't get this option.
August 1, 200322 yr "I would love to know how you program an FMC in the air after take off! Man, that realism is just what I am looking to buy into"Are there any programming limitations on what you can do in flight in PIC and in real life? (Other than programming Takeoff Ref info, of course). Could you reprogramme VNAV data without a problem if the FMC suddenly lost its info? What happens to the PERF INIT page after takeoff?...and speaking of Takeoff Ref, I discovered yesterday that you can manually enter a V1 value of 300kts without our 767 FMC's batting an eyelid!Cheers.Ian.
