February 17, 200422 yr I have the TCAS II logic pretty much finished and am looking for real TCAS II aural alerts. Anyone have any pointers to them? The callouts my logic is capable of producing are:Traffic, TrafficClimb, ClimbDescend, DescendClimb, Crossing Climb -- Climb, Crossing ClimbDescend, Crossing Descend -- Descend, Crossing DescendAdjust Vertical Speed, AdjustClimb, Climb NOW -- Climb, Climb NOWDescend, Descend NOW -- Descend, Descend NOWIncrease Climb, Increase ClimbIncrease Descent, Increase DescentMaintain Vertical Speed, MaintainMaintain Vertical Speed, Crossing MaintainMonitor Vertical SpeedClear of ConflictTCAS System Test OKTCAS System Test FailIf you have any pointers, please email me.Here is a teaser of the gauge displaying a "Monitor Vertical Speed" RA in a multiaircraft encounter:http://www.sls.csail.mit.edu/ilh/fs/767pic/sample-RA.gifIt is faked though, as the traffic displayed is not a threat, but integration of the logic with the display shouldn't be too bad.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
February 17, 200422 yr Lee that looks great! Cant wait for it now!!Hopefully someone has acess to the sounds so it can be finished off soon :D
February 17, 200422 yr Hi LeeAirbus, but bad quality: http://www.fsaviation.com/~airvideo/a340/M...nds/sounds.htmlAndre
February 17, 200422 yr I wouldn't be too worried about getting real ones, Lee. There are so many real world variations (various US/non-US accents, male/female, etc), no-one could accuse you of not having realistic aurals ;-) (At least that's the impression I get listing to the various "TCAS Test", "TCAS System Test OK" & "TCAS System Test Fail" aurals during routine TCAS ground checks... and when someone accidentally places the Tech Log on the TCAS panel Test switch :-)).Cheers.Ian.
February 17, 200422 yr Tell me when it's ready...ok??By PM is also fine.BTW, this is looking pro.Thanks,Ramon.

February 17, 200422 yr Well, I may end up recording my own. I just didn't want to subject you guys to that. That will be real motivation for somemone to find real sounds. ;-)Lee Hetherington (KBED)
