OK yea I know this is the PIC fourm, but maybe someone here that doesnt look at the squawkbox fourm might have an answer for me. And this same message is posted on the squawkbox area.Well I set up a network, only 2 computers at this time. One runs XP the other 98. Now on the 98 machine I set up WideFS it works, it runs AI Bridge and my EICAS software with no problems.I downloaded a copy of Squawkbox version 2.3 build 4 as I understnad this version works great for networked systems. I placed all files in right locations and get WideFS FS2K Over-ride active. I updated the Microsoft Libraries, this didnt help. Uninstalled Squawkbox and re installed it, still nothing.I dont know what else to do? I can reinstall Win98 but I dont think that is my problem. PLEASE can anyone help? Suggestions, Comments? Ideas? Anything? I want this to work so I can take the load off my main computer which has FS2002 in it and without Squawkbox I cant run some associated programs that have to have it on the same machine as they are.Thanks folksBrian

Brian,I have the same setup as you (probably): main flight computer runs on XP, the second one (SB, AVC and so on) runs on 98SE. On this second one it works as follows:wideclient.exesbhost.exesquawkbox.exe (version 2.3 beta)I have never tried 2.4 so I can't help you with that. My understanding was that you don't need SBHost when using 2 computers Stephan, or am I misreading your post?

Actually guys I got this fixed. It was the fact that the 2nd computer didnt have a sound card in it. So I checked off the box for turning off sounds and it worked!! So I bought a sound card and stuck in it LOL Now just have to tweek a few things.Brian

Vulcan,Well, it depends on the SB release. Build 5 needs SBHOST and build 4 doesn't (you may want to have a look at the detailed instructions Nico gives on his website (www.nicokaan.nl)).
