September 25, 200421 yr Funny you mentioned that... I'm in my own DR hell right now. In fact, half of the 9 months of training involves dead reckoning. Argh!!! And yes, it feels like learning a dead language. They got rid of Celestial nav a couple of years ago. What aircraft were you a NFO on?? We have a bunch of Navy guys in our class since it's now Joint Specialized Undergraduate Navigator Training (JSUNT). Nice to hear from you. Take care!Regards,Phil Geddes
September 26, 200421 yr Well I believe it was Lee who created the first Landing panel for PIC Paul. Phil G had a great cockpit picture which I based my first one on which Tero liked a lot although most of the old timers did not care for these modified panels which is why I created the default looking one that had landing lights and rain on the windscreen. PMDG did not base anything on these views because their Approach panel is "lacking" a clear over the glare panel view and the landing panel has no gauges, if anything it looks more DF like IMO. Not a real pilot, but do play one on TV ;-)AMD 64 3200+ | ASUS KV8 DELUXE | GFORCE 5700 ULTRA @535/1000 | Maxtor 6Y080M0 SATA 80 GIG | 512 DDR 400 | Windows Xp Pro | Windows Xp Pro 64 | Randy J Smith
