October 13, 200421 yr Hello all,Ages ago I downloaded the version1 manuals from Wilco's site, in anticipation of buying PIC. However that was towards the end of FS2002's life ( so to speak )so somehow I never bought it.Now obviously I'll be first to buy it as soon as it's released.... so here's my question to the team and/or the hardcore PICer's here:Is it worth me printing and studying those old manuals? I suppose I should wait for the new ones but I am so eager to get going on this.... please advise someone. Thanks,Paul ( SPIM )
October 13, 200421 yr Commercial Member Well, unless the plane is replaced with another plane, I'd say that the PICv1 manuals would be fine as a starting point. There will be some new features, no doubt, but the basics will be the same.Though, as stated here and elsewhere, get your hands on a 767 AOM and that should cover the LDS767. 1300 pages (rev5) and counting!Daryl ShuttleworthDS 3339 The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums

October 14, 200421 yr Commercial Member Pay for one... ebay is one source... or know someone who has one who would be willing to HOST the AOM. We're talking a 25 meg pdf and 1300 pages... know anyone who would be willing to host that file?Daryl ShuttleworthDS 3339 The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums

October 14, 200421 yr Author Hi,Thanks for the replies.I could host the file as long as there isn't any copyright issues with it.I have had a look at the V1 FMC manual and it seems pretty thorough. Anyone know if we are likely to get detailed tutorials for the PIC2? as I personally find this the best way of learning.Cheers,Paul ( SPIM )
October 14, 200421 yr I have some available bandwidth and would be willing to host the file as a mirror site.Of course - as long as we are not breaking any copyright laws.Let me know DS.Ian.
