October 23, 200421 yr Hello,I was wondering after how much flaps you have to extend the gear on the B767??? Is it 5 or 15????second question is about the lights. Is it possible to turn on/off the Nose and winglights seperatly??? For example: I wan't to use the Nose lights for taxi to or from the RWY but without using the Winglights. Did you also added the "light Test" switch??? 3th question: I see you added the EEC. Lets say I turn one of them off, do I notice the effect??? Do I get EICAS messages and is the engine not pretected anymore against High N1 or overfueling and etc? (the same question for the Equipment cooling, Is it realistic modelated???)And we come to the last question: Is it possible to use the throttle on my yostich while the Autothrottle is armed and operating?? So, that I can overide the AT if necesary. But also options like canceling TO/GA incase we have to abord the Takeoff??!!Thanks,
October 23, 200421 yr No, I'm not a developer, but I can answer some of the concerns. You lower the landing gear before putting flap20 out.2nd question: pass3rd: EEC was in the old PIC as well. Of course with proper EICAS messages and functionality. No reason to believe it wouldn't be in the new LDS as well.4th: yesTero PPL(A)
October 23, 200421 yr Author Hello Tero,I'm don't think they had modelated EEC (Electric Engine Control) in the prev. PIC.Then tell me were those switches were lokated???THanks for your answers,
October 23, 200421 yr Ramon,I think I should know this, I've flown PIC since it was first published.See this photo, upper left corner:http://www.avsim.com/pages/0301/767pic/shot20.jpgTero PPL(A)
October 23, 200421 yr Author That was a damn quick reply and just about the time I want to tell you I remember were the EEC were lokated at the PIC.I too, have flown PIC from the beginning they published it. :)So, that makes two of us.
October 23, 200421 yr Author I wan't to add a question.Does the PIC V2 have a panel save config. Just like the PMDG B744 will have?
October 24, 200421 yr the PICv1 had that also..so yes it will.We arent competing with PMDG on their 737 or 744 so please quit asking will it be like PMDG..etc lolGary HayesLevel-D Simulations Development TeamNo im not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.P4 3.0ghz w/HT & FSB..GeForce FX 5900 ultra 256MB..1 gig PC3200 DDR RAM..Sound Blaster Audigy w/5.1 THX Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
October 24, 200421 yr HAHA come on Gary, you don't remember poor PMDG developers getting asked a BILLION TIMES if their 737 would compare to the GREAT PIC? lol....But I agree it gets quite old but nevertheless will happen as we know human kind..Best Wishes,
Randy J. October 24, 200421 yr haha well I always stayed out of those post. I just hate seeing everyone talking bad about a product, OR comparing it.Gary HayesLevel-D Simulations Development TeamNo im not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.P4 3.0ghz w/HT & FSB..GeForce FX 5900 ultra 256MB..1 gig PC3200 DDR RAM..Sound Blaster Audigy w/5.1 THX Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
October 24, 200421 yr Yeah I am with you there. This is the LEVEL D forum and I for one agree there is no comparing the two products, very counter productive as we already know LEVEL D are top rate developers. I look forward to the Version two very much and the only comparison that I know of is version 1 ;-)Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith
http://www.rawbw.com/~bdoolin/shinault/Animation1.gifCaution! October 24, 200421 yr Regarding lowering the landing gear, this depends on the airline SOP as well. For BA for instance for a standard ILS approach it would be setting flaps 20 when the glideslope becomes active and lowering the gear at 2000ft.
October 24, 200421 yr Author Ok Gary, I won't compare it anymore and beside that, I just know PIC is one of the BEST. Just like PMDG :( hahaha. My questions are answered, thank you!!!
