I mean, who does what ?I heard about Wade, but that's all. So could you tell me who does what and all, so we could have an idea of who you are and all ? PICV1 was mainly a panel, the aircraft (not GMAX) was created for us by Wilco. Today, the Level-D 767 team is responsible for the panel and the aircraft. That means that animations in VC and aircraft are now perfectly tied to the panel logic, as both were developped together. The original team mates are still there, but we have been lucky to welcome two new members in the team, responsible for the aircraft model, VC and painting artwork : Mitsushi Yutaka and Gary Hayes. And not to forget the great beta-team, including professional 767 pilots and engineers, that helped us to raise the realism of the sim several steps higher :-)

I can see clearly a big difference between PIC and Level-D.As Level-D is just....WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

you may well be right that the difference between the two as far as completeness and complexity is 'wow,' but I think in a historical (as far as flightsim is concerned) aspect PIC will be looked back on as the defining commercial flight simulator (exclusion of 'addon' intentional). Never before have we as simmers seen a more groundbreaking piece of software and I must say I am so glad we will see it once againI can't wait 'til the LDS767!

What is the significance of 'Level-D'? Does it mean an altitude? Or is it the 'D'-check that some airliners do??

The more advanced full motion simulators that airlines use for pilot training are refferred to as Level-D sims.

I've readed all 174 pages of the AOM.No, I'm looking for a AOM of ETOPS rules.Someone know a good tutorial???I'm mostly have fly with 4 engine A/C and the B737NG and non of these aircraft use ETOPS rules, so I never learned them.But now I gona need them.Thanks,

a Level D sim is the highest ranked simulator available at this time.It is a full motion simulator which incorporates every function the real aircraft does. Meaning they can simulate anything.Level-D sims are usually used for type ratings and recurrency 'on-type' checks...Sometimes, like in my case, they're also used for the Multi-Crew Course(MCC, or Multi Crew Cooperation, whatever you like)

Correct, it was a ground breaking piece of software. It was light years ahead of anything else when it was released, and is still the measuring stick against which all other big-jet aircraft simulations are measured.Wade
