Hi guys,I use WideClient/WideServer to run SquawkBox on a second computer. In this configuration, however, I have not been able to get the "attn.wav" and "myattn.wav" to work when text messages come through on SquawkBox. It will not work with WideFS. You can try to install "Adventure Text Display" also found on the Dowson site. I think you can add a sound file to this program and then it will work each time text scrolls across your screen.Mark.

Hi Richard,I agonized over the same problem for weeks....You will only be able to hear the ding-dong and TCAS alerts when the WideClient window has focus. That is the WideClient window must be in the forefront. When you click in the SB window to type something the WideClient window loses focus and you must click on it again to bring it back. Pain in the rump but that's how it works.Hope this helps.

RichardAm I correct in assuming you are using SB build 5? If you are you need to install SB2.3 b4 to get the chimes and deal with sounds correctly.Delete b5 re-install SB - if I remember correctly point it to FS2K2 but when prompted say it is FS2K. It should then install 2.3b4 and you will get back your sounds.Martin

I have a setup w/ 2 computers likewise as you all,,, the trick is easy.. get a cheap stereo mini cable and run it from computer two sound out to computer 1 mic in..( go through audio controls to get the mix right) Unless you are using RW on #1, then its time for a mixer.. Best bet... Run RW on #2 so you still have mic in on #2 ( use the manuals provided by Sir Peter Dowson to get a "hot mic" via comp #1 keyboard or joystick) and save all that computing power on #1 for FS only.
