December 12, 200619 yr Hello,Brand new to Vatsim, thought I'd take the plunge, however I'm getting CTD's atfer several minutes of sitting on the ramp. I am using FSinn. The error report said the problem with imon.dll, which is part of the Eset Nod anti virus and reference to the microsoft homepage confirmed this. Anyway my question is have any of you guys experienced a problem with Eset Nod and Vatsim or any online flying? And if so is it a known issue and is there a work around? any help or even a point to a thread or article would be appreciated. I do remember reading or hearing by word of mouth that there may be an issue with Eset but i can't for the life of me find any reference to it.Many thanks in advanceGeorge Tyrrell

December 15, 200619 yr Have a try at www.squawkbox.ca and see how it reacts. What you describe has nothing to do with VATSIM.If you are behind a NAT router try disabling it's UPnP.Sometimes this does funny stuff to Multiplay traffic additions.Kyprianos Biris :-cool[link:hvacc.org]Hellenic vACChttp://vateur.org/staff/vateur_m.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/810309/3.png Hellenic vACC - Olympic Aegean Virtual Prepar3D 5.3 | CPU i9 10900K | VGA: RTX 3070 | RAM: 32GB DDR4 | Monitor: 3440x1440
December 16, 200619 yr Try temporary setting Windows Firewall, then use the option to disable Norton and see if you still get the CTD's, or experience errors.By the way, what is your version of Flight Simulator and OS? Do you have all the Microsoft Updates for your OS?-- L. James-----------L. D. [email protected]/~ljames
December 16, 200619 yr Author Got it sorted, was problem with Eset nod and FS9.exe. If anybody else develops this issue ever all you must do is exclude FS9.exe from the amon in eset Nod, and also FSFDT folder too. Just for the info of anybody else who needs to read a thread like this. Its definately not a Vatsim issue alright but I thought it was an appropriate forum. Thanks for your helpGeorge Tyrrell
December 16, 200619 yr Glad you got it sorted out. Thanks for the contributions of the fix. It's usually a simple solution overlooked. Norton has a tendency to reek havoc at times.Welcome to VATSIM.-- L. James---------------L. D. [email protected]/~ljames
