January 5, 200422 yr I also asked over at the PIC767 forum, but this is more appropriate place...It's a great piece of hardware with a very good price. The only thing that troubles me is the cost of shipping + customs here.Anyway, I would like to know if it features variable reversers. Anyone knows?Happy new year!George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
January 5, 200422 yr >Anyway, I would like to know if it features variable>reversers. Anyone knows?George,Forgive me as I am not sure exactly what are you referring to when you use the word variable? Thrust reversers typically incorporate two different types of mechanical apparatus in an attempt to augment or reverse thrust. The first, often referred to as clam shell reversers and the other type uses blocker doors and cascade vanes to direct fan air forwards and is found on modern aircraft that incorporate turbofan engines. In either case, the mechanism is not "variable" as thrust reverse (or augmentation) is either engaged or not enganged! I am wondering if by variable you are referring to the ability to manipulate the thust/throttle levers themselves to increase/decrease the engine thrust levels after the reverse mechnaism has been activated/deployed?Michael
January 5, 200422 yr >Anyway, I would like to know if it features variable>reversers. Anyone knows? After a lengthy discussion, they decided to go with actuator switches instead of an analog input for thrust reversers. As such they are not variable. They are either activated or not. They can only be activated when the throttle levers are at idle. Let me confirm this but that's how I remember the circuit.-Leo
January 5, 200422 yr That would be great. I would preffer analog input (more correct word, the variable used before was not very clear) but for its price it's great!.I wonder if it can be easy to modify it... Hmmm...George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
January 6, 200422 yr Commercial Member Goodmorning,I have asked them for the 737 Flap setting and they respond that they are going to sell a flap plate built for the 737 soon after the release, and for all other aircraft the flap plate can be removed Chris Chris Makris PLEASE NOTE PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at http://forum.pmdg.com
January 6, 200422 yr Something more... to propose.....:-)it will be nice, until they will decide to build a 737 throttle, to offer this one 757/767 with grey/white colors like the 737Just a thought!!!Eddie ArmaosAthens-Greece
