Hi James.With the smallest slip of a drill bit, the holes for gear wheel spindles can be out of line enough to make the gears slip. If you pay megga bucks for special steel ones, things are a bit better. If you pay an engineer to make a four lever gear box - you mught as well go and buy a real plane!!The slider pot idea has got to be a winner - even if the pots need replacing now and again!Thanks James.I am in my "sim" room with slide faders and high hopes.TONY.
