September 9, 200619 yr Hi all,Just want to share my personal technique for building Korry-switches at home. Fast, easy, relatively cheap and good results!!For the tutorial please visit my homepage and look in the 'news section': http://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/flightsimpagina.htmlhttp://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/image/o...eo221pg11p3.jpgRegards,http://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/jeroenleveld.jpghttp://home.hccnet.nl/jwopdenakker/flightsimpagina.html
September 10, 200619 yr Super! Something like this will work for AFDs switches too. Maybe not, they are small. Anyway you have given the community a simple alternative. Thanks!Rodney
September 10, 200619 yr A really good job !!That was the idea I had to build my Korries but with a plexi "sheet" 1 cm thin (that I already have).Do you think I would need a 2 cm thin or the one I already have can be useful as well?Regards,Bob
September 10, 200619 yr Really great indeed! Will put it on my (lengthy) to-do list.Nicohttp://www.nicokaan.nl
September 10, 200619 yr Bob,A 1 cm thin sheet might be useful as well. But I foresee a few problems. It might be more difficult to handle,....less space for the two 5mm leds. Next problem could be the necessary separation of the 2 lightbundles,....you don't want to end up with both legends lightened up orange or white successively. The tutorial might look easy but I had to experiment a lot to get the perfect result. My advice,....make some prototypes and trial and error before proceeding to mass-production. I tried different leds,....they differ a lot e.g. MCD, angle of the bundle etc. May be you need to look at 3 mm leds instead of 5mm. In fact I also had some reasonable results with the smaller ones!!Good luck, please keep us informed!Jeroen
September 10, 200619 yr Hi all,I will make the legend design available for download soon!!Might be useful especially for the 767 builders out there!Jeroen op den Akker
