January 24, 200719 yr Hi allI don't have space or money for a full home cockpit, (but I wish I did!) Recently I discovered the Ultimarc IPC (www.ultimarc.com), which allows input only for a set of 32 buttons which are interpreted as a regular USB keyboard. From this, I have started putting together an MCP (without displays). If anyone is interested in seeing detials, have a look at my flickr stream which has extensive comments: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dnunez_za/set...57594496678245/I also plan to give it a display using a peterhelion 4 line LCD, which goes for about $50 - using FSX and simconnect, this is fairly straightforward.I can post more details if anyone is interested.Keep on soldering!
January 25, 200719 yr That is a very interesting project. I'll be interested to see your photos when you get the display unit(s) incorporated.--Bryn
