October 31, 200718 yr Ok.. Let's see if I can remember... ;-)1 PC for FS, AMD64 3200+ (Venice), MSI K2Neo Platinum, 1GB DDR3200, SB Audigy, Ati X1600Pro 512Mb AGP, WinXPProSP2, FS9.1, LevelD767, Nico's Lekseecon.1 PC for H/W, AMD1000, Asus A7V, 512MB RAM, nVidia 4200Ti, SB Live,WinXPProSP2, SIOC.Hardware is build with IOCards. Presently consisting of 1 USBExpansion, 2 Mastercards, 2 Display II cards. The rest are all custom made PCBs and panels. The FMC Display is a stripped down PSOne 5" LCD screen connected to the TVOut of ATI X1600Pro on my FS PC.The photo shows the undocked CDU gauge of LevelD 767.You must see it to get the feeling. It's superb. Even the 10msec delay between the keypress and the actual reaction of the FMC is so real!Next, I'll do the MCP. I have it almost ready. Only thing pending is to make the Korry switches.George DorkofikisAthens, Hellashttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.png
October 31, 200718 yr Thanks George. I'm guessing you started the project when the 3200+ Venice was the top of the line chip :) How fast technology moves! Is the FMC panel custom made, or did you buy the package from Hispapanels (not sure if that is the exact name, but I know they do a package of panel plus switches)?--Bryn
November 1, 200718 yr All my panels are custom designed and made by a local shop.I also designed custom dual layer PCBs with top layer serving the backlighting using SMD LEDs and the back layer to handle the displays, switches, rotaries etc.You can see more photos at my album over at opencockpits.com(www.opencockpits.com/modules.php?name=gallery2&g2_itemId=6167)George DorkofikisAthens, Hellashttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.png
