September 5, 200223 yr Looks like a great flight, Geof! :-)BTW, did you see what was added to airliners.net a couple weeks ago: :-)click to enlargeBTW, I meant to ask you this, but why do you have +0.16 written next to the altimeter? Is there a known calibration issue?I know you've seen this one, but others may find it interesting to add some details to this thread:[link:www.airliners.net/open.file/257883/L/|http://www.airliners.net/photos/small/3/8/8/257883.jpg]Regards,http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/deb.jpg[link:ftp.avsim.com/library/esearch.php?DLID=&Name=&FileName=&Author=jeff+snyder&CatID=Root|PANEL MODS] | [LINK:www.airliners.net/search/|AIRLINERS.NET PHOTOS] http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/new.gif[link:www.biblegateway.com/bgaudio/english/NIV/Max%20McLean/RM/bgaudio.pl?selection=1|AUDIO BIBLE] ] [/b
September 5, 200223 yr Good and funny question. I guess at one time the prior owner had an issue and penciled it next to it. I have been too lazy to erase it in the 8 years I have owned it-where is the &***&* eraser!:-lol :-lolBy the way-the garmin 195 is now history-using the Anywhere map which is mounted in the same place. First big trip I used it on and it is just the best!http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/Geofdog2.gif Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
September 5, 200223 yr Geof -Did you sell the 195 or are you just keeping it in the flight bag (as a double-double backup)?Hey, BTW, did you see all of the Open House pics at a.net? They are all on the first couple pages using the link below. Also, don't make me start hounding you again about a ride...;-) :-lol :-lolRegards,http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/name.jpg | [LINK:www.airliners.net/search/|AIRLINERS.NET PHOTOS] [link:www.biblegateway.com/bgaudio/english/NIV/Max%20McLean/RM/bgaudio.pl?selection=1|AUDIO BIBLE] ] [/b
September 5, 200223 yr Great shots! I am right now keeping the 195 as a backup but may get rid of it. W'ell do the ride thing-just finding time which there never seems to be any of...http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/Geofdog2.gif Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
September 5, 200223 yr It's getting there...slowly but surely. And as Geof has said, I am incredibly bogged down with school stuff. We are hoping to get most of it done in about 2 weeks or so... +/-. The V tail will be released with the VC update version :-)http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/edenw/FS_..._banner_je7.jpg Long Live General Aviation!
September 5, 200223 yr Yes. :-)Regards,http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/name.jpg | [LINK:www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?photographersearch=Jeffrey%20L.%20Snyder&distinct_entry=true|AIRLINERS.NET PHOTOS] [link:www.biblegateway.com/bgaudio/english/NIV/Max%20McLean/RM/bgaudio.pl?selection=1|AUDIO BIBLE] ] [/b
September 5, 200223 yr >... but to land requires a radio >station license (which I don't have) That is peculiar.Note:http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/SSG/sf01775e.htmlThis implies that Canada does not require its pilots to havea license in Canada OR when travelling to the USA.... (and hence it imples that the USA does not require Canadians to have one either)... so you would think it would be reciprocal???You do need an OPERATOR's certificate, though.Art.
September 5, 200223 yr I suppose it is technically the operator's license I am speaking of-I believe they were called a radio station license when the US required them when I first started flying 12 years ago-but I of course could be remembering incorrectly-getting old does that.:-lolIn any case something I would have to get.http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/Geofdog2.gif Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
September 6, 200223 yr We would give special consideration to the most famous debin North America ;-)Art.
September 6, 200223 yr Thanks for the reply James, Cant wait. I stare at a good 8 or more lined up next to the fence with a couple dozen other GA's. 4 or 5 are V's....3 next to each other. I see then when I go out to lunch at my work. (Boeing C-17 at KLGB) SOmeday I'll fly one....and in one of the 3 DC-3 across the Airport that run daily Cargo runs to Santa Catalina Island 26 miles of shore....what a racket! Can you imagine flying those beaut's every day!
September 6, 200223 yr Man, that is gotta be a good lunch time view :-) It'd be awesome to see what you did every day. Maybe one day... ;-)http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/edenw/FS_..._banner_je4.jpg Long Live General Aviation!
