Forgive me for sounding petty, but I think it somewhat diminishes avsim if forum operators cannot post the name of flightsim in their front page announcement of the round the world race...this seems somewhat small minded for what is otherwise a great resource for all in the flightsim worldSherm

Sherm, there are no strictures on mentioning any other site, including flightsim.com, which does appear prominently in the threads. So, I guess I am confused by your message...

I was pointing out that in the front page avsim announcement of the forum competition, the reference was made to the "forum"or "forums", but never explained that flightsim was the competition. I know that on flightsim, there had been some reluctance for several weeks against mentioning avsim, which I thought rather petty over there, too...thanks tom for the quick response...back to work..:-)sherm
