October 1, 200223 yr Hi folks. I am looking for some nice addon airport scenery for some US airports. Can anyone recommend some which have jetways to park at (rather than parking at a wall) but which are fairly good on framerates? Looking for some larger airports to fly to with my DF737 or Posky 767s...so not looking for little GA airports.I wish the default airports could have jetways and pavement parking markings at which to park...kinda ruins a nice flight arriving at the airport to park up next to a flat wall. Thanks!

October 1, 200223 yr Thanks. I've seen those simflyers ones. How are they on framerates? How much of a hit is typically taken from the default version? I was hoping to try some decent freeware before spending money in case the framerate hit is too much to be playable.I have located a few freeware airports I will try this evening.
October 1, 200223 yr I tried the simflyer KLAX last night and it killed my computer (P4 1.3 with 256+ RAM and a Geforce 2 GTS.)Even with the settings turned way low (which defeats the purpose of cool scenery) I maxed out at 6.5 fps.Ugh. They say they have optimized their scenery so I must have one dog of a computer. Bummer!

If it's OK for you something outside mainland US, I think you'll enjoy our recently released PHNL scenery, very frame rate friendly, according to all users and reviews. The image it's quite self-explainatory, and by turning the AI traffic slight down, just at 75%, on my system I can *easily* reach steady 30 fps.

October 2, 200223 yr Ah I am such a looser! Somehow I didn't realize that the default airports HAVE jetways when you turn the detail up to the last two settings. I won't even bother with new airport textures now that I know this. Thanks for the suggestions though guys!Sheesh :D
October 2, 200223 yr If I had to pick I would choose either SimFlyers KLAX, Gary Summons London Airports, or the LAGO Honolulu scenery. They are all great peices of work! :)
October 13, 200223 yr I am having trouble seeing the jetways with default scenery. "when you turn the detail up to the last two settings." What settings are setting to what value to see the jetways? Thanks for your help!
