October 26, 200223 yr Customer Support in many cases can be helpful. In my case installing FS2K2 on first attempt on a Win 98 FAT16 empty partition wiped out my partition with X-Plane on it. (What a coincidence, .) The installer kept saying that is could not find a .dll which it turned out was for NT error displays only according to my research. While an MS Support Professional held my hand, we did some stuff but I ended up solving the problem on my own. It consisted in this case of converting the partition to FAT32, a requirement not mentioned in docs. The MS tech did call me back the next day and I passed on the info. It is not unusual for some installs to expect a certain system configuration without mentioning the requirements in the docs.As for posting a legitimate criticism regarding FS2K2 or related products in this forum, I think it is appropriate since the forum exists to disseminate such information, whether review or assist.
October 26, 200223 yr Anybody concider the readme that comes with this program? some good info about drivers and other issues.
October 26, 200223 yr 1.4 doesn't cut it (that's what I have). I'd say it's the lower limit if you want to push the sliders.
October 26, 200223 yr Following a few links to some CFS sites, the forums clearly show that overwhelmingly most dedicated combat simmers feel CFS3 is a step backward and are very disappionted. How could MS mess up so bad ?Getting back to my original post, I hope MS doesn't make the same mistake with FS2004. Although I suspect it is an entirely differant team, I hope. :-)SteveCYYZ
