Fs Sky World SE: I can reproduce View Option bug!

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,Yesterday I wrote:Quote:Since I have installed this great addon I have following behaviour:As I select "Views" ---> "View Options" to set view-parameters, FS2002 crashes. It happens anywhere with any AC and any weather setting, with or without Fs Sky World SE.End of Quote.I can reproduce the bug any time, when I want....In the installation documentation of FS Sky World 2000SE, there are some tips. One of them is:"in FS2002.cfg, under [MAIN] section add following line: HideInfoText=1, this will desable ALL TEXT in MSFS"If I let this parameter to 1, the sim crashes as I try to enter the View Options pulldown menu.As soon as reset this parameter to 0, the sim works like a dream! It may be a Windows-XP specific behaviour? I donno.I hope it will help some of you! Thanks to FSW Group for this great addon

That would be why I no longer see the crash ;-) I tried HideInfoText=1 once and decided it was overkill so I changed it back to 0. FSSW works just peachy without this option set.

Thats very interestingI had the same problem today and thats what the problem was caused by.At least I know what caused it to crash now.CheersCraig Kiltie

This is true. However, since this is an obvious source of a serious crash, I would remove your recommendation that users enable this flag from your Installation Instructions.
