I guess it works fine on the new 333 boards although I've seen a lot of posts about problems with the ASUS 333 boards. I always try to stay a notch or so below bleeding edge stuff. I'll let them sort out all the problems and then buy a little later for less money.David
August 18, 200223 yr Here we go again, but its always good in the CPU wars. AMD is supposed to release the XP2400 running at 2 gig and the XP2600 running at 2.133 gig on Wednesday the 21st. Not to be left out Intel will release the 2.80 gig a week from tomorrow on the 26th. I'll be anxious to see the tests on both the top end CPU's. Even with a 666mhz advantage I'll bet test scores come out pretty close between the XP2600 and Intel's 2.8 Gig.David

Good news for those who want to upgrade. I wonder how prices will be down here in Australia. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
August 19, 200223 yr There's no denying that Intel has the edge with it's P4 2.53Mhz (533bus) processor. However, it has taken almost three years to get to that point and AMD will release the Athlon 2.2 and 2.6 processors later this month at half the current Intel prices. In addition, the Athlon K8 core is set to be released at the end of this year which will blow all current processors out of the water.Rob
